Wisconsin MBB News: Badgers Find New Homes, B1G Schedule Release, More
Your weekly Wisconsin basketball news recap.
It’s been a busy week for the Wisconsin men’s basketball program, ladies and gents, but fear not because BadgerNotes can help get you back up to speed with a roundup of some important news you may have missed.
Ex-Badgers Find New Homes in the Transfer Portal
It didn’t take long for two former (kind of) Wisconsin basketball players to land on their feet and find new homes for 2023-24.
The first being, guard Jordan Davis, who spent three seasons with the Badgers and appeared in 75 career games, 18 of which were starts.
He is coming off a season where he averaged 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds on 30% shooting from beyond the arc in 20.5 minutes per game. He will now look to finish his career with a more prominent role-playing for the Illinois State Redbirds in the Missouri Valley Conference.
And the second one, if you choose to count it, is Wyoming transfer Noah Reynolds, who left the team one week after signing with the Wisconsin basketball program and decided to explore a different situation.
In the end, Reynolds will continue his collegiate career with UW-Green Bay and reunite with his former assistant coach Sundance Wicks and older brother, who is also on the Phoenix coaching staff.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound, lefty combo guard averaged 14.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 48.1% shooting from the field in 25 minutes per game for the Cowboys this past season.
Above all, we, as Wisconsin fans, wish them well (especially Davis) because he was an easy kid to root for and did everything he could to help the Badgers win games.
