Wisconsin MBB Hosts 7-foot-3 Big Man on Official Visit
The UW coaching staff is pushing for one final 2024 commit in its recruiting class.
Over the past weekend, Greg Gard and the University of Wisconsin basketball team welcomed Daniel Jacobsen, a 7-foot-3, 235-pound center from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, for an official recruiting visit to Madison.
Jacobsen is a highly sought-after recruit, with offers from several schools, including Illinois, Minnesota, Creighton, Clemson, New Mexico, Purdue, Providence, Tulsa, and Xavier.
Since receiving an offer from Wisconsin during an unofficial visit in August, his relationship with the Badgers coaching staff has flourished.
The big man, originally from Mt. Horeb just outside Madison, recently reclassified to the 2024 recruiting class. He is now in the final stages of making his college decision.
UW Wants to Add One Final Piece to Its 2024 Recruiting Class
Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball program have secured commitments from two players in the 2024 recruiting class: point guard Daniel Freitag and wing Jack Robison.
But the Badgers have their sights set on adding one final piece to put a bow on the cycle, and Daniel Jacobsen is that recruit.
