Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball coaching staff have been tracking 2025 big man Daniel Jacobsen for a while now. And it appears the Badgers have finally seen enough to pull the trigger.
After an impressive showing with JL3 during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam last month, Wisconsin extended a scholarship offer to the 7-foot-2, 215-pound center from New Hampshire.
"Most of my family and friends live in Wisconsin, and I grew up a big fan of both the football and basketball teams," Jacobsen said.
At this time, Jacobsen holds scholarship offers from Illinois, Minnesota, New Mexico, Purdue, Tulsa, Xavier, and the University of Wisconsin.
As a result, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings have him rated as the No. 104 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, the No. 16 C in the country, and the No. 1 player in New Hampshire.
It's worth noting that Jacobsen has spent the last three seasons playing in New Mexico -- but is transferring to The Brewster Academy in New Hampshire for his junior season.
Additionally, the three-star center has strong Midwestern ties -- growing up in nearby Mt. Horeb (WI.). Jacobsen even attended the Wisconsin basketball advanced camp last summer.
