Wisconsin Badgers Land Commitment From 2025 QB Landyn Locke
Wisconsin Badgers OC Phil Longo continued his pillaging of Texas for quarterback recruits, landing a commitment from 2025 QB Landyn Locke.
Madison, Wis. – Last month, Wisconsin football offensive coordinator Phil Longo traveled to Rockwall, Texas, to evaluate a recruit with strong ties to the program in person.
That recruit was 2025 signal caller Landyn Locke, the younger brother of Mississippi State transfer Braedyn Locke, a redshirt freshman the Badgers coveted once he entered the portal.
After impressing Longo during the workout, the Wisconsin coaching staff wasted no time offering him a scholarship and got Locke on campus for an unofficial visit that quickly led to him becoming commitment No. 1 in the 2025 cycle.
"I went up there for a week," Locke told Jon McNamara. "I've never been up to Wisconsin, so it was my first time seeing everything in person. It's going to sound cliché, but I fell in love with Wisconsin."
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound quarterback chose UW over early offers from Miami, SMU, Tulsa, and Western Kentucky. Texas, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, TCU, and Virginia also expressed interest in Locke.
